Free Course: Mental Health Awareness Project

13th June 2018

Did you know one in four British adults experience at least one diagnosable mental health problem each year?

The most common is mixed anxiety and depression, but there are many other issues which have a huge impact on a personís life and the people around them.  Anyone - especially teachers and coaches - who works around people with mental health problems needs to understand each condition fully.  Likewise, anyone who has seen someone experience mental health problems would benefit from understanding the meaning, causes, effects, symptoms and management of the condition.

This nationally recognised qualification covers all of these aspects and is the perfect place to start.

Swim England are proud to be able to offer a fully funded accredited Mental Health qualification to you in conjunction with The Skills Network.  The Skills Network is one of the UKís most successful providers of long distance Learning. They support educators, employers and learners across the UK, by developing and delivering effective and innovative Accredited training courses.

The Skills Network are currently involved in a nationwide project relating to raising Mental Health Awareness within communities throughout the UK and they are currently working on a national basis in partnership with a number of FE colleges and sports clubs to promote this very current agenda.

As a result, we are able to offer you the opportunity to study a nationally recognised qualification at no cost*.  The course (accredited) is fully funded by the Government.

This course is completely FREE and can be studied at your own pace in your own time. To find out further information please see the course outline here or contact Sophie Spencer by email or on 01757 606620.  Depending on time committed to the course we estimate it can be completed in 10-16 weeks.
