Tonbridge SC have a vacancy for a learn-to-swim swimming teacher/coordinator

Tonbridge SC  is a medium-sized competitive swimming club looking to recruit a Learn-To-Swim Coordinator/Teacher at Level 2 or above

Job type: permanent

Working hours: Part time

Pay: Negotiable subject to experience (self-employed – tbc)

Location: Tonbridge, Kent

Tonbridge Swimming Club have been making massive progress in competitiveness in the last 18 months with numerous Golds at County and Regional level and more success to follow we hope. We now seek to bolt on a progressive, structured and better organised Learn-2-Swim section to feed better prepared / skilled swimmers into our competitive squads.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Coordinate and manage swimmers registering for trial to enter our club.
• Teach.
• Coordinate and manage our swimmers pathway initially from NPTS levels 1 to 4 in our Learner Pool and then intention is to look at / include levels 5-7 in the training pool.
• Develop / manage schemes of work.
• Coordinate and manage the volunteer teachers and helpers that support these swimmers.
• Liaise with Head Coach to ensure a consistent approach to all teaching across ALL squads (even above level 4 or 7).
• Assist in the in-house development of teachers and volunteers.
• Be DBS checked.
• Demonstrate good computer / online / communication skills including with parents and swimmers.
• Show a passion for the sport and development of our members that we seek.

The minimum hours desired are:

• 90-120 mins on Tuesday evenings (in Tonbridge)
• 90-120 mins on Friday evenings (in Tonbridge)

Other hours are possible / negotiable on other days.
It is expected that the successful candidate will be committed to the planning and communication of the demands of the post and reap the rewards that come from it.
