EVENTS at the LAC
Further to the above acceptances/rejections have now been notified to all clubs for the remainder of the events at the LAC - once questions/queries have been looked into further information will follow.
Some things we do know – arrangements are in progress that spectators will pre-pay for entry to the LAC – no cash will be taken on the door.
The ‘No Food’ policy bringing in food from outside remains in force except for the swimmers who may bring in their own food.
The swim shop SwimPath will be at the LAC - they are taking orders now for Kent 2023 merchandise - the link to SwimPath to order and purchase merchandise can be found here
REQUEST for HOST CLUBS
Thank you to the clubs that have volunteered so far, but we need more! There are 4 days of competition at the LAC and even if your club is not hosting you may also register an interest as an individual to helping at the championships. Jan Annan is coordinating our volunteers for 2023 - please contact Jean Scott who will pass your details over to Jan. Hosting involves, the door, refreshments, and Marshalling. Host clubs that host for a day can run their own raffle and retain the proceeds for their club.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT
A great deal of work goes on behind the scenes to enable the
championships to run smoothly - the county is always on the look out for new
people to help with the technical support needed and whilst we have a dedicated
technical support team who can pass on their skills and knowledge it is a
small team and we need to increase the numbers - if you are technically minded
then this may well be the volunteer role you are looking for in swimming.
