New Age Group Long Course Records

The KCASA Swimming Committee has agreed that Long Course Age Group records be introduced with effect from 1 January 2019 and, in order to establish these records, it has been decided to produce target records from the best times set by Kent swimmers since 2005 - the year Regions came into being.

The date chosen was age as on day and the claiming of records will fall in line with the current record conditions below.  Any long course records achieved during KCASA Championships do not have to be claimed as it is the responsibility of the Swimming Records Co-ordinator to track any potential records from them.

Claiming Records

You can check out the current records, review the conditions and download a record application form by clicking the relevant link below.

Applications for a record must be made within 28 days of the swim, and must comply with the relevant conditions. Receipt of certificates might be several months after applications are submitted as they need to be checked and ratified - this tends to be in batches - before moving on to the printing and distribution stages. Having said that, we do try to complete the process in a timely manner.

The good news is that swimmers do not need to apply for records gained during Kent County Championship events as these will be automatically submitted.
