Licensing Events
Licensed competitions are the only events as which entry times for National, Regional and County events can be achieved. Kent County Championship events are licensed. Depending on the level of meet applied for, the following additional rules must also be complied with.
- All licensed events at Levels 1, 2, and 3 must be held with electronic timing, and British Swimming qualified officials must be used
- Licensed events can only be held at certain times of the year so that they do not clash with County or Regional events
Before submitting a licence application:
- Refer to the Swim England Document Library for useful licensing documents
- Look at the Swim England National Meets Calendar to check any potential clashes with other meets in London
- Review a summary of the different levels of meet on the Swim England website and check the criteria for each level of competition by downloading the Swim England Open Meet Licensing Criteria
