Kent ASA Water Polo Young Volunteers (Aquatic Helper Certificate) for Water Polo

Kent Water Polo have been given the exciting opportunity to run Swim England Aquatic Helper Certificate linked into water polo.

This is open to people who have knowledge/played water polo and aged 13 - 18 on the day of the course (this may change depending on the uptake).

The main aim of the course is to provide the young volunteers with the tools that will help them assist coaches at your local club and it will cover the following topics:
  • Swimming pool safety
  • How to be effective member of the coaching team
  • Understand different learning styles and stages
  • Show good practice in an aquatic environment
  • Understand athlete development support pathway (ADSP)

The length of the course is 3 hours 15 minutes theory plus 3 hours practical and for those people who are working towards Duke of Edinburgh awards this can be put towards it.

There will be a small cost TBC but won’t exceed £20
