KCASA 2017 Swimming Championships - Week 2

The county championships are now well under way with some great swimming last weekend from the longer distance events.

Next weekend sees the form strokes. We were heavily oversubscribed, so we will be full, and need to run very efficiently to finish on time. We managed it last week, so we can do it again, but we need your help. Below are the key points to help the weekend run smoothly.

Warm-Up
Sessions 5 and 7 (the first each day) both warm-up at 1pm
Sessions 6 and 8 (the second each day) both warm-up at 4.30pm

Sign-Out
The few withdrawals that may happen, will be on the day before the start of each warm-up at the medals table. Failure to withdraw by the start of warm-up will result in a £10 fine. Please remind swimmers and coaches.

Presentations
This year we are planning to hold presentations straight after the finals (or the last 3 heats of 200's) rather than at the end of a session. Please make swimmers aware. The top three in each final need to be ready to receive their medals on the podium but if this takes too long, then we may reschedule the presentations. The idea is to as much as possible hand out medals in front of a full spectator gallery. The weekend schedule is here

Warm Clothes
For those that haven't experienced Crystal Palace in January, it is cold poolside! Swimmers should make sure they have enough appropriate warm clothing when poolside.

Car Park
The top car park is open but does have a height restriction (cars only), drive straight ahead to enter.

Traffic
The route through Sydenham High Street has roadworks, so please allow more time to pass through there if you arrive from that direction

Many coach passes have been issued, the remainder will be at the entrance desk
