Be part of the team! Kent Swimming is looking to appoint two individuals to two newly-created remunerated positions

About us

Kent County Amateur Swimming Association (KCASA) was founded in 1891 by E J Plumbridge, and is a County Association in Swim England South East Region and Swim England London Region. The Association consists of two sub-Associations, Kent London Swimming Association (13 affiliated clubs) and Kent Rural Association (39 affiliated clubs), covering all the aquatic disciplines: speed swimming, diving, masters, open water swimming, para swimming, artistic swimming and water polo.

Position 1: Administration Manager

This position offers approximately eight hours per week encompassing administrative support for various members of the Management Team, including but not limited to the Chair, Secretary, Masters Manager, Competitive Swimming Manager and Artistic Swimming Manager.

The position is self-employed and allows for home working.

The KCASA Management Team meets four times a year and attendance at these meetings forms part of the role. Your attendance would also be required at the Annual Council Meeting, usually held in September.

Position 2: Events Manager

This position offers approximately ten weeks of work per year (35 hours per week) and ultimately leads to being the Meet Promoter for various KCASA Championship events including: Masters, Competitive Swimming and Artistic Swimming.

The position is self-employed and allows for home working. In addition, the nature of the role does require attendance at the events falling under control of the position.

The KCASA Management Team meets four times a year and attendance at these meetings forms part of the role. Your attendance would also be required at the Annual Council Meeting, usually held in September.

Both positions require individuals to have the following skills:

  • leadership
  • organisational skills
  • attention to detail
  • administrative writing and reporting skills

Renumeration

Both positions offer a self-employed rate of £12.50 per hour worked
