National County Team Championships: Kent narrowly misses out on repeat win

The County swimming team were in action at Ponds Forge Sheffield last Sunday in the National County Team Championships. After last year’s unexpected but deserved triumph the expectations for another good performance were high. 

The team did not disappoint finishing second behind the might of Yorkshire (perennial winners).  This result was only surpassed by the winning team last year. More photos can be viewed here and the full results are here.

The team was led by Head Coach Jordan Honour (Thanet) assisted by Jerome Moerman (Black Lion), and managed by Marie Atkinson-Brian (Erith and District/Beckenham) assisted by Jo Wilson (Beckenham). 

The event demonstrated not only the depth and quality of swimming in Kent but also the breadth of the spread of talent across the County with no less than nine Clubs represented.
